Nanacoco Sky Blue Eye and Lip Pencil

 purchased by me

Ever decide to make a mistake?  Sometimes you know something's a bad idea, but you do it anyway.  This was one of those times...

Doesn't look that bad, aside from my usual issues ever getting ANYTHING to stick to the inner curves of my lips.  The problem isn't visual.  It's a nifty enough retro color and surprisingly well pigmented.  Despite the tiny glittery bits, the application wasn't the issue either.

Maybe you spotted the issue in the title of the post.  "Eye and Lip" is practically a flashing warning sign of trouble ahead.  I don't think I've ever found a combo eye/lip product, especially a bargain one, that didn't have an issue of some sort.  Some taste or smell horrible.  Others wouldn't stick to your lids even if you sold your soul for that oddly specific purpose.  Then there's the worst kind...the kind that start to burn.  I have fairly sensitive skin, and I started having some kind of reaction within maybe two minutes of applying Sky Blue.  Dunno if it's specifically this shade or what, but I took it off the moment I was done with the photos.  This was the eighth lip color I'd applied in fairly short succession, so maybe my lips were telling me to fuck off already.  Not sure.  They're still a little itchy.  I like the color enough that I might patch test it and try again sometime...maybe.  I'm absolutely not putting it on my eyelids, since my eyes are MUCH more sensitive than my lips.

Bottom line: Bold, with a great glittery metallic sheen, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with sensitive skin.

If you follow me on Instagram, this was one of the things I bought at that wig shop last month.  At least it was only a dollar.
